While I was doing the withdrawal, I saw a CCTV camera on my right side about 3ft. from the ground beside the machine. I don't know what got into me but I suddenly thought of YouTube and all those embarrassing videos being shared by friends on Facebook. I suddenly thought, ok, I had to do this right! I can't be caught in any embarrassing situation here. I then checked if there's any other camera as I wonder what use would that one be if it would just capture the right side of my lower body right? So ok, there was another one about 4 ft. above the first. No worries.. I mean, what does it matter anyway? Why does it affect me so much this time when I'm sure it had always been there from the beginning? Surely I've been recorded by these video cameras a hundred times before as I used to bank witth HSBC for 7 years and this machine is conveniently located between my home and my office. So what was the problem this time? Maybe because I was actually withdrawing from hubby's account and using his card that it unnerved me to be accused of theft! Well what do I know! When you're in the Middle East everybody knows everything you do can be used against you! lol! But seriously!
Anyway so there I managed to withdraw without any incident. Then immediately after I had taken out the money, I put it in my wallet. Ooops! It's the camera again! What's with this particular camera anyway! So ok, I suddenly thought wait, the money, there's got some hundreds and a couple of fifties... Wait! Wait! Wait! I had to make sure it's the right amount and I had to do this in front of the camera so if it ain't enough, I have it on record that the money I got was indeed not enough! So I immediately faced the machine again and took out the money from my wallet to count it. Ok so there were four 500's.... then hundreds... 1, 2, 3 ooops! the money just slipped out my hand and flew! And the wind was just blowing, ok pick it up fast! then they flew further... When I was about to reach a couple of them, they just got blown away again! Ok, so this affair is now turning out to be a nightmare! My paranoia now turning to reality right in front of me! It took me about a couple of meters before I was able to pick them all up. This definitely is one funny moment. Funnier actually than embarrassing. Well hey, I'm one fine lady who can laugh at herself any given day! So what do you say, should I borrow the clip from the bank and post it myself?! lol!
