Well anyway, just like the first post (lost somewhere over the rainbow) I intend to share with you my happiness and celebrate a few things. First of all, I would like to thank all of you for being generous with your time and for patiently staying with the Expat Mommy through the 1 year and 1 month since I have started the blog. I know there had been some ups and downs. Some months you'll find it being actively taken cared of, while on other occasions, it just looked like being abandoned. Well, that's when life had got the better of the Expat Mommy. So to those of you who still continue to check in from time to time, thank you thank you thank you!!!!!
As days passed, it had become evident which direction this blog is taking, and that is being a recipe blog. Guess it's because among all the blogs that I have been visiting, I really find most enjoyment reading other recipe blogs and they had inspired me to also account the cooking activities I have been making daily. It had also made me realize how much I enjoy cooking. Before this blog, cooking for me is just a need, one of my obligations as a wife and mother. But with this blog, I realized how much I enjoy cooking. Now it had helped me realize a dream of being in the food business, although in a very very very small scale. Well, that's good enough for me. Good enough knowing that others would actually pay for the dishes I make. But I still continue dreaming... again by God's grace all these foodie dreams will come true! :)
And then last but not least ------ it's Christmas time! It's the season of gift giving and sharing, in whatever part of the world you may be. And even though the Expat Fam is in the Middle East, there is no reason to not spread the holiday cheer! And so, in the spirit of Christmas, The Expat Mommy would be giving away some freebies just to say thank you to all of you who had stayed with me through the year. I really do appreciate the time you have spent reading the posts. But then let's take it a notch higher, why don't you also let yourself be heard. This can work both ways you know. I'm sure most of you are moms like me who would have something to share. So, come on all you Expat Mommies out there, let's compare cooking notes! :)
Now here's the best part, for all the above reasons, I am just so thrilled to share with you the blessings (specially the one I have just received today, but yet unable to divulge... in time, you'll also know)... But in the meantime, all three reasons above deserve some kind of celebration and to start it all off, the Expat Mommy will be letting you sample some of her baking adventures ---- oh no worries, they're not mishaps! Hahaha!
But since it's the Christmas season, I think it is just fitting to exchange gifts with you. So in exchange of you giving some love to My Expat Mommy by Liking the official Expat Mommy Facebook Page, I will be giving away these goodies that will surely add excitement and nostalgia to your Christmas holidays!
