The Dilemma of an Expat Mommy

And my girls are coming back! Finally, after 3 years, my 2 elder daughters, Lucia and Lyian are coming back to Qatar. Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled that finally we'd be together. My other 2 best friends will be here to share stories with, to go on theme park dates, to bond in front of the television and most specially to guide and watch over.
Yes, it is a dream coming to reality, but at the same time, there's a part of me not truly happy doing it. The practical side which is saying that they're better off in the Philippines getting the best education. But what is important really, a family staying together or a better future for the kids with the best education schools in the Philippines could offer? I just couldn't say!
The problem in Qatar is that you have very limited options when it comes to  Philippine education. There are only 2 Philippine schools providing elementary education (though I read in the papers that there's going to be a third school, which unfortunately for us, will be catering to Muslim children), the Philippine School Doha located in Messilah Area or the Philippine International School Qatar in Ain Khaled Area really if I think about where they go to school in the Philippines now, and where they will be transferring to here in Qatar, it makes me cringe! Well, nothing against these two schools it's just that it unnerves me to have very limited options and I'm sure other parents will agree with me that the best place for Philippine education is in the Philippines!
Sadly, at this point, we have been left without any alternative. Both sides of the family are either here in Qatar or in the provinces (Batangas and Aparri), while we maitain our home in Manila where the girls stay with only their ever dependable and loving "Yaya" Josie. Unfortunately, our yaya is now planning to seek better opportunities abroad as well, so there's just no one else to leave them with.... Having said that, the girls are now set to go back to Qatar come June. So no choice really but to choose between the 2 schools and as I believe that both schools would more or less have the same quality of education, the only criteria would be the convenience to my girls since all of them would be going to school next year and I don't want them to waste too much time and energy on travel. Which means 99.9% we will be going with PSD. I just hope they would be able to accommodate the girls, I know both schools are now running on over population due to the influx of Pinoy Expat Families in Qatar. Haay... which brings me back to my frustration of setting up my own school which would adhere to my standards and meet my academic criteria!
